Today it is the 9th days of CNY, sadly this year i could not make it to my hometown (sobsob..)..reason is i'm just back from long year end holiday in January & i'm planning to be back to HsH (Home Sweet Home) this coming May for Gawai celebration (ahaks, i can't wait it).
Most of my chinese friends are back to thier HsH back in hometown, so no house visiting this year. Deep down my heart, i was sad too as i could not meet my friends & go for house visiting with them. (sobsob)
But in a way, i do make my day during those long (4 day) holiday. One of my housemates back to her hometown celebrating, while the other 2 having their good time at Singapore!! So as i don't have any special plan on the 1st day of CNY, i make a plan with Rose ( a friend which i get to know at local church here) for hang out. She's a nice friend to have as i just could not stop laughing & giggling with her jokes & stories but most importantly her sharing of God's word really helps me spiritually. What a friend for if they just could make you laugh but not being there when you need a shoulder to cry @ lean on right?
So we meet up at one of shopping mall, but sadly the mall is yet open for business eventhoughthe time was 10:30am so we just hang around at the nearby bus stop waiting for KFC to open!! yeap, waiting for KFC to open (crazy isn't it?) Haha, basically on that day, we plan to hang out @ pastor's house as Rose have make a date with Mrs Pastor so we thought of bringing smting which is easy to bring there for our lunch. hehe my favourite. So we having great time with Mrs. Topic of that day "How we choose our soulmate"..interesting isn't it? That nite, overnite with Rose. We 2 gurls, chitchat non stop from 6+pm until midnite. hehe...i still can't believed we can have so much things to talked abt. While, Rose's housemate, Meno just too tired to joined us as she just came back from beach picnic. Poor she.
So the next day (late afternoon)2nd day of CNY, me & Rose (again) invite other church mate for a hang out (Val, Boniface & Ujang) for a movie. yeap...Meet the spartans! Well the epic movie was just nice to watch (3 stars rated from me though). After the movie, we all started to have the "spartans's trademark" & the "I will survive" choreography..haha just silly us. That night, we have a nice seafood dinner (delicious). As usual, where there is Val, there is laughter among the peeps (with his signature trademark "amboi-amboi")...He is just a natural joker in our group. On the other hand, his younger bro "boniface", just the opposite of him, so silent..well, he's still new with the crazy other peeps like us. While Ujang, once in a while, this big bro of our group will join in with his jokes...yeah, like an old bro, "cakap bila perlu saja"...but it is nice to get along with these peeps. After the dinner, we have a long journey walk..back then, i have no idea why we have to walk that far in the 1st place. It makes me stomach cramp la!!
The next day again (saturday), that evening we have church AGM(selection of new board for year 2008). The attendance not very encouraging, not much ppl turn up. Well, the announcement have been made for weeks now, just could not postponed it just because of smaller number of ppl turn up. If they felt responsible, they would have turn up early & ready for the meeting. Well, i'm not going judging anyone here.
And the next day, it's lovely Sunday. That week, i was helping with the Sunday School. Not many kids turn up but still have great time with them. Overall, i enjoy myself a lot during the stayover at Meno & Rose's house. Couldn't think of other holiday plans which is better than this!
