the chance of free surfing...yuhuuu~~

i'm so glad back at home, my dad didn't disconnect the internet...so i really took this opportunity to surf the FORBDDEN sites at office such as Friendster / facebook / tagged / youtube etc....

so i really took the chance at night to surf the net especially the friendster...really surprise to get to know that (this friend is married - very young couple, this friend pulak *i know he is married* but his looks getting older, his head getting bold & now become fatter...damn really shocking to see the changes in this guy - 5 years back was one of the goodlooking guy that i know but now become like that pulak...and he's just 26 this year...can't imagine by 30 what he would look like) really shocking & amazing surprises when i'm frienstering & facebooking during those holidays.

i believe mine is the most maintain (cehwah)...NO changes so far compare to last year (except getting fatter *a lil* as well) *hopefully not much & no more* hehe...

Cheers - Teh C Peng satu!!!

Kuching Day 4

Sunday!!!!!

*knock knock* - i ignore it

*knock knock again* - huuu~~ i know that knock was my father asked me to waked up at 5:30 am (yes...it's A.M) as we have to go to 6:30am english service at church...i've been used to wake up about 8:30am for the 10:30am sunday service in KL...now back in hometown, hv to wake up extreme (for me la) early...wahh...really felt lazy, but better wake up la before kena BOM (hahaha)

so...from 6:30am - english service THEN continue with 8:30am iban service....Now, the choir has improve just that they usually *malu-malu* slow start at 1st...then slow entering the 2nd verse dah ok...but got improvement a lot la compare last time...(alamak, pandai comment) :p

then after church service, met some frens who also balik for holiday...but the most changes is the kids (sunday school) all of them have grown up (taller / bigger)...waaahhh...i felt so old

Some of church frens are getting married / enggage by end of this year (Congratulations to Connie (marry) & Shelly (enggage) for their bigs days) & i still slumber single as usual...*no comment* hehe

after church *services*, my family + some of the church frens went to MJC for our lunch...can't believe i still can get Chicken Rice for only RM2 + soup....haih...back in KL - a plate of chicken rice = RM4.50 - 5 lar...
then after lunch, we went back to our own place...& i (apa lagi...kalau sudah kenyang) sleep ler until 4pm...hehe
Totally forgot that my dad inform me that we're going back to kampung at 2pm....but nvm la, they also terselip juga...

So about 5pm, we went out..not knowing where my dad drove us to...then baru tau rupanya we going to have some lil shopping at saberkas (that's weird...as my dad hardly go there for a shop)...and later, we went to satok sunday market (ikan terubuk masin + kek lapis)...i believe the kek lapis tauke very happy we buying their things cos we bought 10 loaf of it (each cost = RM10)...

Then we straight balik kampung...wow, the road / the pasar / the hutan...all changed!!! but not total change until i can't recognize the road la...but still a lot of development is happening especially the housing estate, previous years, my aunties's house doesn't have neighbour (all surrounded by trees) but soon, they going to have neigbours liao...

At kampung, meet auntie & uncles (all looks fine - healty) Praise the Lord, and the nieces & newphew (getting bigger & taller as well)...after more than 1 hour chitchat, then we depart from there + few items given by my auntie & uncle namely durian (yum yum) & limau bali....

Kuching Day 3

today...day 3...wake up about 7:30am...but actually i really woke up when my mum tiba2 enter my room, saying that today they will having gotong royong buat nasi pulut...i was like *hmmm...still want to sleep, but if i tak ikut i'll be alone kat rumah...lagi boring* so dengan malasnya (tanpa mandi just brush my teeth)pergi change my cloth...

when me & my parents reached the church, saw a few of the members was there starting preparing...some putting the beras pulut into the bamboo...like me & my mom, tak pernah isi, we just put the daun pisang at the opening (simple job la)...but overall can be quite tiring doing it for about 100 of bamboos...after that...during merarau - we're having babs bbq (so yummy!!!) with spicy chillies...aduh...indahnya merarau!

Here are some of pic shows what we do that day....
1. Clean the Beras Pulut dulu...rendam dlm air

2. wash the bamboo..then can put in the beras lo...

3. Cover / tutup the bamboo opening with banana leaf / nak wangi lagi with pandan leaf ~~

4...start bbq the bamboo lor...how to know it's cooked, don't ask me...hehe

5. after dah confirmed cook, then we sliced out the bamboo "skin"

maciam ini...

then the bamboo will looked like this lor...this is what we called as Nasi Pulut which is cooked in bamboo...This nasi pulut taste good with curry or what so ever food which taste salty / sweet...as the nasi pulut can consider as *tasteless* but very mengenyangkan...

As we do this nasi pulut for the Saribas Club function that evening, *as being instructed* we have to cut it nicely *ikut size* & warp it up like this...

this young cute kid *everyone's favourite* name - Basil age: 3 years old also helped around with us...He help us to carry the nasi pulut into the car...hehe...very active kid. Kindly believe this young kid, still know my name...keep on asking me to pass him the nasi pulut for him to carry it in the car...*cute*

So after the church members all finished wrap up the nasi pulut, we delivered it to the place...and dengan *bangga + segan* we place the nasi pulut on each table...why i felt bangga, cos we finally able to finished up the nasi pulut on time with all helpful church members *Thank God, it was shiny day*...rasa segan because when we distribute the nasi pulut at each table (112 tables) feels like i'm one of the waitress...*gagagga*

at the end of the day...we're not attending the dinner, just stay at home -relaxing- so tired la...& kena sun burn lagi tu...but very enjoying juga la! hehe

Kuching Day 2

Yesterday 5 Dec 2008, was my cousin BIG day...before we reached St Joseph, we pergi makai breakfast lok at Desa Wira (Makan kolo mee & teh c peng- *wajib*) ... then at St Joseph, met the old familar faces of my mom's family...my cousins, aunties, uncles & nieces & nephews!!!! alamak felt so old when i see those kids around hanging around with my cousin's (their parents) .... ish ish ish....

Overall, my cousin's wedding @ the church goes very well...with the Rev making once in a while funny remarks...but i like the way, his advice to the couple in living together as husband & wife, must NEVER forget Lord in their lives...

Oh ya, one funny thing happen to very sad me...(Funny but sad)...i don't know why i have the feeling very weird wearing the "zebra dress" that morning...what a SHOCK i have when i notice there's one lady also (haih) wearing the same dress with mine!!!!! kalau kasut sama tidak apa...ini baju...aduiiiii...haih...so i just keep myself quite la...i think the lady also perasan that too...as she seems like quickly went to her car after the service (so kesian her)...actually so kesian US...haih...no wonder i have weird feeling that morning. We couldn't stay long for the photo shooting as my dad have some errant to do for church....which i get to know, my church will having Thanksgiving Dinner at The Banquet, 4th Mile...walaueh...well, i don't know how's the reputation / the food serve at the place...but from the outside it look's classy with those glass mounted wall...at least this time aroud, the church chose a new place for their function not the same old place kat C*Tower (Honestly, i'm bored with the food thr)...but sayang, the date that they chose for the function (4th Jan 09) is so not ngam with me, as that's the date me & my bro will be back to kl (haiya, salah timing la)...but nvr mind, i just hope it's going to be a blast blessed thanksgiving day for the church!

Next - that night - my kazen's wedding reception...tot that i will sit with my parents...mana tau kena *sepelit* saying that i will sit at another table...(ok la...) i've waited quite sometime (ada 1/2 jam kot) then baru tau my table mate was my own kazen's juak...yg bestnya, got young toddler in the table...so cute (pic will up soon, forgot to bring my cable to transfer the pic)...the wedding was a blast...with the rock & roll songs, poco-poco (apa lagi...)... Oh ya, to avoid the same incident happen to me that morning(case sama baju), i bring along my sweater (just in case bah)...but good news syukur tak ada...kekeke....

Overall, i enjoy a lot that night...even though i didn't join them with the dancing...but seeing them happily just reminds me of the old days when we have our gathering at my late grandpa's house...

Kuching Day 1

Yesterday, i arrived kuching about 9:30pm...let me share share with you some story before my arrival la ya....

i reached LCCT about 6:20pm...then straight guai-guai de go line up for check in...thought want to check in using the machine..but then experienced last time tak berfungsi so batal niat...while lining up...saw that the counters (2 of them) open for 3 flight schedule for check in...aiyoyo....such a long time waiting...then tiba2 come this Chinese *China* lady approach me asking whether i can speak "hua yu" i say yes...then she show me her hp (aha, same flight with me) then sama2 la beratur...then the guy in front of me ask me, are u going to check in ur beg? i say> no...then he say > you may go to any counter available for check in...i say "oic" thank you...then off i go...then the chinese lady oso follow me as she says she oso tak perlu check in beg...mine goes smoothly though..but for the chinese lady as she's using passport...she have to line up again @ the same counter for check in...then later we met again kat departure place...chit chat with her "nyaris2 my mandarin kena pengaruh slang dia org pulak" ...then she says she come to kch to visit her bf & she's been at the airport since 3pm...ish ish ish...lone ranger lagi tu...lepas tu, went i reach kch airport, masa check in...the imigresen lady mcm talking to me "i tot she says selamat datang" so i pass her my ic & the check in slip, but tak juga she took my slip just my ic...tu saya hairan, how come it takes so long for her to get things done...then her colleague ask her "nya datang dari sine?" so i reply "KL"...then the lady macam muka semacam...rupa2nya she tot i come from Jakarta - the 1st thing she supposely ask me was " dari jakarta?"....aduh!!! lain kali...kalu mau tanya, ask with louder voice ma...plus, she should took my check in slip to register (like most of the imigresen personel did)...haih...i don't know it was my fault ka apa...it may be my fault too cos didn't hear it cleary at 1st...but still....haih...suan la...miscommunication...

so yesterday it was my parents who pick me up from airport...my dad still wearing cassock & my mum in white & black (they just back from caroling~~) then i tot terus balik...rupanya, again follow my parents to the last house for caroling (yuhuuu~~sempat juga caroling) it's nice to meet them (church members)...yang budak sudah besar dah & meet some new faces church members too...it's good to see new faces...

Hui Jia Siang

Hui Jia Siang -> Back to home town TONIGHT!!!!

But just for a short period though...as i'm going to attend my cousin's wedding this Friday!!! It has been such a long time, there's not much wedding from my close relative (mom side) for the past 5 years? So that is why i'm looking forward for the wedding! Can't wait to meet my mum's siblings...coz most of them been stayed different part of borneo...so this is their time to gather-gather again.

I miss my childhood years, whereby almost each Gawai we went back to Sibu (@ my late grandpa house)...my mum's sibling used to gather as a whole family there...but as times goes by, not much of the siblings able to be back to grandpa house during festive season due to commitment...still remember how my grandpa was so happy to see all of us come to Sibu (hugs & kisses)-> my late grandpa was a man full of affections...

ok...back about my back hometown story...i already finished packing my cloth since Tuesday night (see excites i'm feeling back then)...have make sure all the cloth my bringing is sufficient & avoid unnessary cloth to bring a long...try to bring as lil as i could for this short trip. (Plus, i'm having orders for Kek Lapis - 6 loaf for my colleagues) lil luggage is necessary for this extra luggage. (alamak terlupa plus terung kuning lagi...)

Can't wait next coming Sunday (14 Dec) as we (housemates) will having carolling + pre christmas gathering...wahhh so syiok man...can't wait to have friends around.

So this Month will be lot's of excitement for me! yuhuuuuu~~~

note: just read some blogs from my hometown, there's one sad news about one of the HIGHschool has been burnt down...so sad to hear about the old buildings has vanished all because of fire...sad so sad...

my own space....

Last Friday, i was alone at home...as my housemates all have gone back to their hometown (dengan bangganya....i conquer the house) kekeke....i reached home about 8:30pm...no point i reach home early either as no one at home. That nite i received sms from a friend telling that she will sleep over at my place as she's coming to town...well, of course my glad.

The next morning, i get myself ready to MV for some shopping, tot want to buy a dress there...but sadly the price of those that i like was so luar biasa..no point i bought over RM100 of dress if i hardly wear it...so my mission of buying new dress for Christmas GAGAL...so together with my friend, we went to buy Chicken Wing instead...and our mission that night was to cook KacangMa(Leonurus sibiricus L <- the scientific name of the herb). The dish smell just lovely with Ginger & rice wine (Langkau) yum yum!! This food is very good for blood circulatio & most people especially "Hakka Chinese" eat the dish during confinement. That evening, the 3 of us (my bro included) watch a movie about a puppy " 10 promise with my dog" <- if i got it rite...(Japanese movie - very touching & funny)...by almost the end of the movie, my friend can't help her eyes...cry...and i...althought it almost makes me cry, but hearing my friend crying, just makes me wanna laugh out loud (bad me)...actually not just me...my bro also laugh as well...gagaga...

then the next day, we went to church and i was helping with sunday school. This week, the children are still manageable...maybe was because the notty ones didn't attend. After church, we went to PC for our lunch...later then i went to MJ for shopping as yesterday's shopping mission fail...I was SO GLAD, that i finally can find some dress which is affordable for me & my mom. So my mission accomplished!!

dress # 1 : zebra dress

dress # 2 : the abstrac square...

I'm still on a mission to buy leather shoe for my dad...but the problem is i'm not so sure what type of style that he wants (i never care to have a look at guys shoe's / tren any how)...have no idea on the style..but i know he wants it to be soft / black or dark brown...really hope my 2nd mission for Christmas can be accomplished soon!

Pos Sungai Raya - Gopeng Mission Trip

a day before the mission trip..we have a prayer meeting at church specifically for the mission trip...after the meeting, i was supposed to have a short discussion with Auntie Lim Oi Lan (from Sabah) on the material which i have prepared. But i notice that i left the material back at office. Thank God, my housemate was there to drive me back to office to pick it up (by then is almost 10:30pm)...no one at my floor *of course*... later then i was still bz prepare the material for the kids...man, tell you at the time i really have mix feelings...excited / kamchiong -> you name it.

then next day, i was picked up by church friends...when we reached St Mary, everyone was there...packing their stuffs into 2 vans, we start our journey about 8am...the weather was just nice...no hot sunshine...no rain...we reached tanjung malim to buy our *main food* -> babs hutan...hehe... then we went to nearby foodcourt to have our *brunch*...tell you the food there is really cheap (2 meat + 1 vege -> RM3)...just the slow beverage service...then we proceed to Pos Raya...it felt so nice to those green scenes along the way...so refreshing! when we reach the church, our van got stuck in the mud...gary the drive ask us to *move it move it* in the van...haih, so funny. Compare to Ulu Groh, the place is much bigger...let you see some of scenery...

The mountains

The boy's sleeping camp

From the 1st day, all 11 of us start bz prepare for dinner, registration card & others...really enjoyed as all of us work together regardless what are the task which have been assigned earlier. That nite, we have short meeting with Gopeng AJK on what are the task we going to do...

Overall, this time around the youths are quite naughty with stubborn heart compare to last year. Can see that some of them come was not because of the word of God but to meet their friends & musics. (which is quite dissapointing). From this, it teaches me about the important to emphasize the Word of God rather than P&W...to work in humble way so that when people advice us we will listen to it....not just based on our own judgement which mostly can be quite selfish. This what i see in some of my own friends around, as they've been involved in church activities for quite sometime, they tend to think they are better / very good / experienced in doing it, and when people advice them...they tend to argue back or won't listen & eventually become the opposition of whatever other people are doing as it is against their own way. Very sad to think about it, but that's how satan attack (spiritually).

But overall, from what happen it teach me a lot...
1. Always remember to be humble in work
2. Silent is way better than arguing, Prayer is the best way than ignore them
3. The temptations / trouble that we face while working for God, is a very value learning experience to grow & remind us to always work in humble..
4. God sent me (where i am rite now) away from my family is not by coincident, but because there's something He wants me to do for Him here in peninsular...i really appreciate i got the chance to joined & grow more in this children ministry & now i'm able (although still learning) to teach the kids about Word of God...
Ohya, this time around, meet a few kids which i've met at Ulu Groh...Thank God, the kids are ok compare to youth, they listen & willing to follow the activities *games, songs, coloring etc* here's part of the kids which i able to take photo with...

They really have good memory, they can easily remember the memory verse easily after a few time, and next day when i try to asked them again, they still able to recite it corrently...The word of God that share with them was the story about a boy gave (5 piece of bread & 2 fishes to Jesus to fed 5000 people) Memory verse: Rome 12:1 "Persembahkan tubuhmu untuk Tuhan" ...another story that i share with them is wordless book ( this time around, Auntie teach me to use shoe to teach the kids : Black - sin, Red - Blood of Christ, White - Cleanse by blood of Christ, Yellow- Heaven, Green - to be a christian that grows .:. read bibles, pray, do good things to others)...simple message to the kids but a very good way for them to tell their friends about Christ. The Memory verse: Hebrew 13:6 "Tuhan adalah Penolong ku. Aku tidak akan takut" teach the children, what ever problem that they face, they should not be afraid, as God will be there with them. Overall, i learned a lot as i teach the children about the word of God and Auntie also teach me a lot about the kids too (as she's been very active in youth & children ministry)...
Really love the experience that i gained from this mission trip. A lot!!
